How do I get product from Star Valley?

We are a "known shipper" with every major US airline. We ship once a week out of Minneapolis, O'Hare and Midway. Most carriers in Minneapolis have refrigeration abilities. Freight is also tendered in La Crosse, Wisconsin with limited Northwest Service. Within our immediate Midwest region we use SpeeDee delivery service that has next day service and incredible rates. FedEx Ground and Express are available from the farm daily.

To whom do you sell?

Because of our large production volume we prefer to deal with floral wholesale houses that excel in servicing their retail accounts. In the limited areas where we do not currently have wholesale accounts we will deal directly with retailers if they can buy in wholesale volume and transportation methods. We sincerely believe that floral wholesalers facilitate a "win-win" situation with our products and potential end use consumers. Depending on the season we offer items for sale in retail chains such as Smith and Hawken, grocers such as Central Market in Texas, Whole Foods nationwide and The Fresh Market in the Southeast. Please contact us with any special requests and we will do everything we can to satisfy you or steer you to a supplier that we feel confident recommending.

Do you sell any rooted plant material?

We are not a nursery although we do some propagation from plants that exhibit desirable characteristics. In the spring we usually have some willow varieties for sale and possibly bittersweet plants. We do not advertise this but welcome phone calls so we can give you up to date details.

Can we visit your operation?

We are not open to the public as a general rule. Many things are happening here making us much too busy for a steady stream of visitors. However we welcome organized group tours such as garden clubs, school groups or industry related parties. If you are planning on being in the area and would like a tour PLEASE feel free to call and we will do our best to make Star Valley open for your visit. Monday to Wednesday are definitely out but the other 4 days of the week are usually a possibility with advance notice.

Can I purchase anything from you?

We do allow individual retail sales of certain selected items seasonally such as willow cuttings in the spring, bttersweet in the fall, and periodic offerings of fresh cut flowers through the year. If for instance you have a wedding planned and want some flowers from Star Valley please forward our contact information onto your designer. If you are doing flowers yourself then call us and we can happily give you minimum purchase information.

Can we rent the facilities?

We have rented our farm for weddings in the past and are actively looking to do more of this. Other options…spiritual retreats, upscale picnics, outdoor centered meetings and workshops, etc. The barn can easily seat 100 people for dinner or accommodate more with a flexible seating plan. The beautifully maintained grounds can handle hundreds with tents and tables. Please call for further details or creative ideas you want to propose… we are up for almost anything!
